Memory Objects | Open Photography Call
The show runs from November 20, 2025 through January 26, 2026
Reception will be on November 24, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm
The JKC Gallery is excited to announce an open photography call to all individuals who reside, or have previously resided, in Trenton, New Jersey.
Memory Objects is about sharing your experiences of joy and grief, and everything in-between, through your photographs.
Events filled with joy or with grief are imprinted to different regions of our brains. The recollection of those memories can become distorted over time. One of the most common anchors of our memories comes from photographs of the people or places that are tied to the emotional experience. The photograph often becomes the object or evidence that helps us access that area of our brain where the memory is held and allows us to reconnect when that connection is desired.
Requirements:
Any single photo, framed or unframed of any size up to 11×17 inches, including frame size if framed. Limit up to three images per person.
Eligibility:
The JKCG Open Call is open to all individuals, without regard to identity or other protected characteristics. Contributors must be living or have lived in the city of Trenton.

Tuesday November 11, 3:30-6:30pm
Wednesday, November 12, 9:30-12:30pm; 2:00-6:00pm
Thursday, November 13, 11:30am-1:30pm
Friday, November 14, 10:00am-1:00pm
